Amedei's Cru chocolates come from single-origin production areas, each of which produces cocoa beans with decisive personalities and unique flavors. This is the cocoa bean's "wildest," most direct expression, and we bring this special ingredient to you without interference. The fragrance is immediately striking, and you'll note a decisive note of acidity on the tongue as well as a clean, pleasant sensation of freshness at the finish. Our Cru chocolates come from individual plantations: Venezuela and Madagascar provide a "Trinitario" chocolate whose genetic makeup includes more than 85% "criollo" chocolate, the ancient cultivar known to the Maya. Trinidad, Ecuador, Jamaica, and Grenada also furnish high-quality "Trinitario" chocolate, selected and produced exclusively by Amedei.
